It is funny how in many if not most religions today, the issue of why people believe in God is glossed over, overlooked or almost forgotten. In this regard, atheists and to some extent deists have of course focused more on this subject than Christians. However, they wrongly base their search for God or His absence mostly on empirical evidence and arguments. Meanwhile, Christians don\u00b4t dwell on this issue so extensively or instinctively because they accept God\u00b4s existance based on faith in revelation. Some Christians say God exists because they claim that they have seen how He is active in their lives but we will leave this argument aside because Religious Deism and most other non-Christian religions or theologies are very skeptical about such claims. And, without a doubt although perhaps partially on purpose, the Religious Deism website deals with this issue in a less than thorough manner – something we hope to make up for in this series of blog articles.<\/p>\n
Where Christians use faith in revelation and atheists use empirical evidence, Religious Deists use reason and “faith” in reason to describe and understand God and why He exists, or why He must exist in the context of our existence. In the next blog post, we will discuss these reasons, some traditional and others that are more Religious Deism “exclusive”.<\/p>\n\n\n
