Religious Deism welcomes agnostics because we are “agnostics”

While Religious Deism (RD) in some respects is directed at Christians who have “lost their faith” in Christian theology, we believe that it also can and should resonate with agnostics.

Webster’s Dictionary defines agnostic as: “a person who holds the view that any ultimate reality (such as God) is unknown…..”. Christians believe in God based on faith from revelation while atheists believe that God does not exist because there is no empirical proof of His existence. However, agnostics believe that there is no way to prove the existence or non-existence of God, and Religious Deists would agree. RDs don’t rely on revelation or on the empirical for their belief in God, they do so because they believe that it is the only logical and reasonable conclusion to make. Religious Deists would like to urge agnostics to take a stand and not be so apparently indifferent about God, and use reason to establish (or to not establish) His existence. We welcome all agnostics who are in search of a better understanding about the world and their existence, in search of a reason-based hope in the existence of God based on Religious Deist theology.
